Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

SGAMS is committed to making sgams.de accessible to all users, including those using assistive technologies. We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a minimum standard.

Current Accessibility Status

sgams.de is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are working to address known gaps. The following accessibility features are implemented:

  • Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy
  • ARIA landmark roles for navigation, main content, and footer
  • Alternative text for all content images
  • Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
  • Focus indicators for keyboard users
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios for text content (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
  • Responsive layout that adapts to viewport size and zoom level
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second

Known Issues

The interactive infrastructure visualisation tools on the Smart Grid Architecture page are not fully accessible to screen reader users. We are reviewing these components and will improve accessibility in a future update.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

This site has been tested with NVDA and VoiceOver screen readers in combination with Chrome and Firefox browsers. We aim for compatibility with current versions of major assistive technologies.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may contact the relevant enforcement body. In Germany, this is the Federal Government Commissioner for the Concerns of Persons with Disabilities (Beauftragter der Bundesregierung für die Belange von Menschen mit Behinderungen).

Technical Specification

This site uses HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript. No frameworks or third-party UI libraries are used. All fonts are loaded from Google Fonts via HTTPS. No other third-party resources are loaded.
